Guidelines for New Admissions in Class V
(2009)
1.
Requisite qualifications of a candidate
for admission in Class V:
a) Educational Qualification :
Boys who have secured atleast 60% marks
or above in the aggregate in their last
examination are only eligible to apply
for admission.
b) Age
Limit :
9yrs - 11yrs (as on 1st Jan 2009)
c) Height Limit :
140 cm - 155 cm
d) Weight Limit : 45 kg
- 55 kg
2. Bar to
admission :
a) A boy handicapped by physical
deformity or mental illness or having
any chronic disease cannot be admitted.
3. Note:
Religion, Caste or creed is
never considered a bar to
admission to this institution.
4. Basis for
Admission :
a) Boys are admitted on the basis of
written and oral tests and medical
examination. Preference is given to the
boys belonging to backward communities,
specially rural Bengal and boys hailing
from Purulia district.
b) Boys will have to take the written
test in Bengali / Hindi, English,
Mathematics and on General
Intelligence. Only those who will
qualify in the written test will be
called at Vidyapith for the Oral test
and medical examination.
