Vidyapith - As it stands now

1. Higher Secondary Section: A New Chapter, A New Challenge

Vidyapith started its Higher Secondary Section (XI & XII) from the year 2000, duly affiliated to the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education, which opened a new horizon before the boys of Class-X, for further studies in Vidyapith. At present, it has Science Stream only. As the Education Department of the Government, of W.B. is yet to sanction posts of teachers (except one part-time), the Vidyapith authority has recruited a group of efficient teachers to teach the boys of Higher Secondary Section. We are eagerly awaiting the sanction of posts by the Council for the smooth running of the Higher Secondary Section.

Up to 31st March, 2005, three batches of H. S. (Science) students, (starting from 2002), came out with mentionable distinction.

2. Innovations and Renovations: A Concerted Move Towards A Better Tomorrow.

For the fruitful preservation and maintenance of the glorious tradition of Vidyapith, the provision of an ideal infra-structure becomes a 'sine-qua-non'.

In quick response to the needs of the hour, the present management of Vidyapith has, in right earnest, implemented a series of developmental plans, so far, towards overall improvement of the institution.

The following, among them, deserve mention: —

(a) Installation of 250 ceiling-fans in students' hostels, to alleviate the stresses and strains of our boys, during the long period of summer.
(b) Installation of generator-points in 'Gurupalli' (one tube-light for each quarters), to provide relief to our inmate teachers, from loadshedding.
(c) Renovation of a few old and worn-out quarters in' Gurupalli'.
(d) Enhancement of remuneration of the teachers as study and coaching-allowances.
(e) Appointment of a number of part-time teachers for different subjects, to meet the scarcity of eligible full-time teachers.
(f) Installation of an automatic Cyclostyling Machine, @90 copies per minute, in the School, to achieve self-sufficiency in Printing-works.
(g) Installation of an Electronic Telephone Board (EPABX).
(h) Purchase of a new school-bus to facilitate the trips of our boys for excursions,
(i) Purchase of a Pick-up-Van to carry the load of daily-essentials from the local market.
(j) Purchase of a 'Bolero' car, for transacting various types of business at distant places.
